The Palladium by Richard Chai capsule collection stomps into Actually this September with four new styles, that include two versions of the Pampa Hi boot in navy and burgundy washed corduroy and two variations of the Pampa Tactical boot in charcoal and navy felt.
This collection presents the authentic heritage of Palladium and Chai’s eye for modern menswear as a powerful combination. The styles feature Chai’s own custom fabrics, a full sheep skin leather lining and custom Palladium by Richard Chai branding on the boot tongue. These materials speak to the classic suiting elements, utilitarian touch and rugged designs remixed with luxe materials that are prevalent to his own collections.
Palladium was founded in 1920 to make aircraft tires for the aviation industry. In 1947, as the end of WWII saw the demand for tires dry up, Palladium put their canvas and rubber expertise to use by making boots that were as hard wearing as their tires. Palladium soon became outfitters of the legendary French Foreign Legion with their classic canvas Pampa boot. Over 60 years later, the timeless design of Palladium’s signature Pampa boot is as relevant as ever and available once again for explorers worldwide.
The Palladium by Richard Chai collection will be retailing exclusively at Actually (29a Seah Street) in September 2012. Price ranges from SGD169 – SGD216.
