Get your shopping mode ready because *SCAPE will be holding its 3rd sales event, Percentile, on 12 and 13 July 2014 (Saturday and Sunday)! The event will be from 12pm-8pm and will feature 10 local retailers and brands that will come together for the two-day shopping extravaganza where shoppers can get great bargains.
That’s not all! There will be 14 local retailers and designers – AforArcade, Actually, Depression, Eclecticism, Front Row, Konzepp, Leftfoot, Little Man, Mu, P.V.S, Rockstar, sifr, Superga, The VOCAB Store and WeSC. These retailers will be selling sale and sample items from as many as 40 local and international brands. And you can get them for up to 90% off! CRAZY DEAL, RIGHT?
But as always, when it comes to sale events like these, you have to be mentally and physically prepared (cause’ you have to deal with the incredible amount of people – most of them who want what you want). Here are a five tips you need to survive a sale event like Percentile!
Come early.
This comes as a no-brainer. You want the good stuff, come early.
Make a list.
If you know what you want to look for, you won’t waste time scanning for things you don’t want. Not only will you save time, but also your money! This is also good for tip #3.
Have a shopping partner.
To maximise the amount of ground you can cover, get a shopping partner. Preferably someone who’s as much of a crazy shopper as you are and is willing to go to great lengths to get what they set out to get. Referring to tip #2, you can share each other’s list, and go separate ways to scour for whatever is in each other’s list. Have your phone in hand (make sure you don’t lose it in the crowd) to communicate with one another if you’ve found something on both your lists. Having a partner also means you can have a nice cold beverage together after the shopping experience.
Have no expectations.
Although you’ve made a list, and hope to get what you want from the sale, don’t expect that you’ll get everything, or anything for that matter, in your list. Go with an open mind because chances are, bargain hunters will do anything to get what they want – you snooze you lose! Especially shoes, there’s a chance most won’t fit your feet. Treat it like another mission, another shopping date and experience with a good friend. So that way, you won’t be disappointed and you’ll have fun being all Mission Impossible-esque with your buddy!
With that said, good luck! For more information, you can head over to Percentile’s Facebook page at www.facebook.com/percentilesg or their Instagram www.instagram.com/percentilesingapore
