Engineering luxury has been the heart of Porsche Design since its founding in 1972. This year, Porsche Design commemorates 40 years of staying true to its ethos with celebrations around the globe that included a stopover in Singapore.
The commemorative event hosted at the National Museum of Singapore starred Porsche Design’s range of heritage eyewear that had advanced into true classics through the years. The eyewear flawlessly displays the brand’s innovative functionality and perfect craftsmanship. Very simply, the core of the brand’s design is about using the right materials in a very luxurious way.
For this anniversary, Porsche Design Eyewear presented the legendary P’8478 in special a limited edition 40Y version. The 1978 classic design is retained while the materials used to construct the eyewear has been upgraded to today’s level of technology using ultra light titanium. With the innovative replaceable lens mechanism, this classic eyewear is especially popular amongst celebrities all over the world. Limited to 10,000 pieces worldwide, the restyled P’8478 is available in sizes S, M, L, and XL.
The exquisite heritage collector’s boxes – ’40Y of Innovation’ and ’40Y of Iconic Products ‘ – were also exhibited at the event.
