This year, kapok has embarked on a journey to the seas. New in stores is Project Basalt Island, a capsule collection inspired by “the eclectic environment of hong kong: the sea, the typhoons and the unique beauty of the basalt island, one of Hong Kong’s hidden gems.”
The collection comprises of three products: scented candle (SGD58), an iPhone 6 case (SGD39) and a tote bag (SGD49). The motif represents the ceaseless movement of water, a representation of eternal and perpetual repetition which the kapok team finds intriguing and captivating. It’s a beauty to watch too.
The Basalt Island capsule collection is available in limited quantities at kapok flagship store, National Design Centre, 111 Middle Road.
