Reebok pairs up with MMA leader UFC for a long-term partnership that is set to change the landscape of the martial arts sport. Under the deal, Reebok will become the exclusive authentic global outfitter of UFC.
Fans of both martial arts and Reebok can look forward to their UFC athletes donning UFC Fight Week Gear and a Fight Night Kit. It’s the first of its kind, and millions worldwide can join in the hype as Reebok becomes the apparel provided for UFC fans. UFC Welterweight Champion Johny Hendricks and UFC Lightweight Champion Anthony Pettis will be helping Reebok develop a new fight training-specific apparel collection.
The Reebok and UFC alliance goes beyond apparels as the collaboration adds a significant charitable component – Fight for Peace. In 2015, a percentage of sales from Reebok/UFC products will benefit the international NGO. Fight for Peace uses boxing and martial arts, combined with education and personal development, to help youths prone to crime and violence.
Matt O’Toole, President of Reebok, sees this collaboration between two great brands as an opportunity to give UFC a new and exciting look, but also harnessing the global reach to benefit young people around the world. The strong history in training and fitness in both brands is perfect for the cause.
