The Samsung Electronics Singapore has debuted the latest upper mid-range smartphones in the A series – The Samsung Galaxy A8 and Samsung Galaxy A8+. The sleek, large infinity display screen and enhanced camera features offer consumers the ultimate smartphone user experience.
Both phones are almost identical except the Samsung Galaxy A8+ has a larger display, more storage, RAM capacity and bigger battery capacity compared to the Samsung Galaxy A8.
Enhanced Camera Capabilities
The Samsung Galaxy A8 and Samsung Galaxy A8+ feature a new 16MP + 8MP F1.9 Dual Front Camera and an impressive 16MP rear camera. As the front camera is made of two separate cameras, it allows the user to take normal selfies and super wide group selfies.
Users can easily create and adjust the depth-of-field (bokeh effect) before or after taking the picture on their smartphones.
Polished Viewing Experience
Compared to the previous Galaxy A series phone, both smartphones come with 5.6-inch and 6.0-inch screen size options. With the Super OLED display, users can enjoy the rich colour quality experience when watching movies and playing games. The screen is supported with premium metal frame and curved back glass on the back and front.
Additional Features
Both devices equipped with IP68-certified water and dust resistant capabilities; same as the Galaxy S8 series and Note 8. Additionally, both smartphones have separate sim trays for two sim cards and support microSD cards up to 256GB, for users to fill their favourite memories till their heart’s content. Both the Samsung Galaxy A8 and Samsung Galaxy A8+ are also the first Galaxy A series to support the Samsung Gear VR. The Samsung Pay is available for the user to make safe and secure mobile payment without worrying about having their wallet in hand.

The users can opt for a hassle-free way to unlock their Samsung Galaxy A8, and Samsung Galaxy A8+ with the facial recognition features; with just a look. By simply registering your facial with the front camera and enabling the feature under the security settings, consumers are ready to unlock their phone in an effortless matter.

Both Samsung Galaxy A8 and Samsung Galaxy A8+ is available from now at the price of SGD648 and SGD798 respectively, available in black and gold. The smartphones are available at all local telecommunication operators, consumers electronic stores, authorised mobile retailers, Samsung Experience Stores and selected online marketplace.
