Wool has always been one of Fjallraven’s core materials, but it has always been used to craft baselayers and sweater. This time, it’s bringing wool to it’s most popular family: Kånken. It’s not just any wool, but recycled wool made from a combination of G-1000 HeavyDuty Eco S and a wool mix fabric that consists of 80% pre-consumer recycled wool and 20% recycled nylon for enhanced strength. The wool is color sorted, shredded and re-spum which menas that it saves water and energy as there’s no need to redye it and it also uses up a ‘waste’ material. Here’s what the bags look like:
The Kånken Re-Wool collection includes the Kånken Re-Wool Sling (SGD189), Kånken Re-Wool Classic (SGD249), Kånken Re-Wool 15-inch (SGD279) and is available in Granite Grey, Red-Black and Night Sky.
The collection is available at Outside+ store at ION Orchard and online.
