Get in touch with your patriotic side with Sentosa! This August, Sentosa Celebrates the Singaporean culture with an interesting line-up of events that takes you from the past all the way to the present. Snap some shots and refurbish your Singlish knowledge at ‘The People’s Republic’, where quirky signs with a little bit of tongue-in-cheek humour decorate Siloso Beach. As part of the ‘Signs on the Loose’ project, Sentosa reaches out to ‘Sticker Lady’ Samantha Lo to openly express her creativity and share her vision with the world. Other than Siloso Beach, the ‘Lepak Corner’ at the Beach Plaza has had Samantha Lo’s touch to it. A place where guests can take a break and ‘chillax’, the special creation will be on display throughout this August in commemoration of Singapore’ National Day.
Take a walk down memory lane and fill yourself up with nostalgia at ‘Yesteryears Once More’, where people of all generations relive through 60’s to the 80’s with vintage cars, interactive kampongs and miniature old school playground of all shapes and forms!
Spend the National Day long weekend at the ‘Chill and Grill’, where a variety of entertainment and good food await you! Doesn’t matter if you’re a newbie or a ukulele genius, just grab a ukulele and pick up some cool tips from professionals at the ‘Ukulele Groove’! If you prefer to be on the listening end than the performing end, enjoy special performances by Eileen Chai, Organ Trio and Andrew Lim.
Celebrate Singapore’s 48th birthday month with Singapore’s award-winning leisure destination Sentosa. More details on the event line-up below:
