When it comes to food nowadays, #doingitforthegram is all the rage now. We geddit – pictures of outrageously-presented and fantastical cuisine send us all to foodgasm as well.
Yes, beautiful and outlandish food is indeed attractive, but all true foodies know this – the most exquisite taste usually comes from the simplest of dishes. For this, KFC looked to Japan and its cuisine, undoubtedly the pioneer in creating mind-blowing delicacies out of the most unassuming ingredients. Just look at a simple sushi – a seemingly plain dish with just a few ingredients, yet each and every ingredient complements each other so seamlessly to give us paradise in the mouth.
Drawing inspiration from that, KFC introduces the new Tori Katsu Burger! Hold on tight now, as KFC cranks up their game to bring you a burger crafted with just one goal – to bring you the ultimate taste experience. Paying homage to the Japanese’s reverence and respect for food, the Tori Katsu Burger’s ingredients are simple, yet allow you to bask in an amazing combination of flavours and textures.
Layering a deeply marinated and succulent chicken fillet coated with breadcrumbs (freshly breaded in stores for that extra oomph n’ crunch) with fresh Japanese white shredded cabbage, and drizzled with just the right amount of savoury special Katsu sauce and mayonnaise, the Tori Katsu Burger packs the entire dome of deliciousness between two soft sesame buns. To best enjoy this creation, you only have to adhere to these 3 simple rules:
- Keep other sauces out.
- Let the crunch be heard.
- Leave no crumbs behind.
Now, we all know that burgers always go best with fries, and it would be blasphemous not to have fries accompany a burger as fine as the Tori Katsu Burger. KFC took it to the next level, and present to you the Bonito Fries – golden fries fried to crispy perfection, drizzled with special Katsu sauce and mayonnaise, and sprinkled (liberally, if we may add) with the perennial favourite bonito flakes.
Get your burger game woke now. Starting today, the Tori Katsu Burger and Bonito Fries will be available at all KFC outlets, except KFC Changi Airport Terminal 1, KidZania and Singapore Zoo.
The new Tori Katsu Burger and Bonito Fries are priced respectively (a la carte) at SGD5.50 and SGD4.50 or in special bundle meals starting from SGD7.55.
