Skate For Unity is back for the fourth consecutive year! Organised by Bigfoot Industries (BGFT) with Converse as the official partner, this skateboarding competition will be held at Xtreme SkatePark at East Coast on 13 October 2012, 2pm-10pm.
Skate For Unity seeks to unite and inspire youths as well as provide a stepping stone for fresh skating talents to shine and get talent-spotted. In promoting skateboarding as an enjoyable sport to stay fit, the event also introduces a series of activities such as skate clinics to educate the community about the sport and motivate them to get involved.
Attendees will not only bask in a day of skateboarding action, they will also get to participate and/or experience from the side lines other supporting activities such as inline skating and BMX competition segments and street art demonstrations.
During the competition, participants will compete in six different categories – BMX Best Trick, Inline Skate Best Trick, Skateboard Under-16 Best Trick (Stairs), Skateboard Open Best Trick (Stairs), Skateboard Open Best Trick (Ledge), Skateboard Open Best Trick (Rails).
Only one winner will be selected for each category. Registration (SGD10) for the competition will take place at the competition site before the event starts.

4pm – 5pm : Skateboard Under 16 Best Trick
5pm – 6pm : Skateboard Open Best Trick
7pm – 9pm : Finals For All Divisions
9pm – 10pm : Prize Presentation
On the side lines, Converse will also be running a search for attendees in their Converse gear. Those who are spotted wearing Converse apparel or sneakers will be featured on Converse Singapore’s Facebook page. The top three individuals whose pictures garner the most votes will be awarded with the Converse KA-One Vulc Skateboarding sneakers.
