Sneaker updates and re-launches seem to be a hit this season. The latest one races over in the form of PUMA Speed Cat Sparco, the iconic motorsport inspired lifestyle shoe that first hit the streets in 2000.
PUMA’s second partnership with established motorsports brand Sparco remains true to the original design and silhouette of the shoes. The classic PUMA Form Stripe runs along both sides of the shoe in a contrasting colour, the PUMA Cat is embroidered on the heel, a striking gold PUMA logo is heat transferred on the outer side of each shoe and a Sparco embroidered badge features on the tongue.
The original Speed Cat Sparco that was launched back in 2000 was PUMA’s first lifestyle motorsport shoe and a commercialized version of the PUMA and Sparco performance F1 Race Cat boot worn by professional drivers. With the introduction of the Speed Cat Sparco, PUMA has continued to establish a strong presence in lifestyle interpretations of Motorsport footwear through the years. The Speed Cat’s unique shape and profile started a new ‘low profile’ trend of lifestyle shoes inspired by performance products but without the technical features and this trend dominated the footwear industry for many years.
The 2015 Speed Cat Sparco is available now at PUMA stores, Limited EDT and Leftfoot at the retail price of SGD149.
