Helping women ease into Fall/Winter, Weekend Sundries returns with the effortlessly chic pre-Fall capsule collection – ‘Speckled Skies’.
“With ‘Speckled Skies’, I chose to indulge in my intuition. I went with pieces that came most naturally to me – relaxed silhouettes, chic shapes and comfortable materials. It was really a therapeutic experience for me and I hope this feeling translates well into my clothing and in turn, for the wearer too,” says Michelle Chan, designer of Weekend Sundries.
The capsule collection perfectly captures the azure blue skies of Singapore. The palette consists of a spectrum of blues tinged with nuances of lavender and peach, inspired by the shifting clouds and sporadic rain showers of the island’s tropical climate. Shoppers can expect the usual understated fare, with a quirky spin: oversized cotton tee-tunics, knit maxi dresses with faux-suspender straps, and a kite dress with cut-out collar details – some of the key pieces to look out for in ‘Speckled Skies’.
From 27 July to 18 August 2013, ‘Speckled Skies’ is making its debut at a Weekend Sundries’ pop-up store at JEM Robinsons (50, Jurong Gateway Road #01-07/13, Singapore 608549). Previous collections such as ‘Play Flight’ from Spring/Summer 2013 will be available at the pop-up store as well.
Retailing from SGD59 to SGD229, the ‘Speckled Skies’ collection is also available at Threadbare & Squirrel (660 North Bridge Road, Singapore 188797), Hook & Union (Orchard Central #02-24/25, Singapore 238896) and Made by Lauren Jasmine (47 Amoy Street, Singapore 069873).
