BAM! shakes up the Tras Street afterwork with new Sake-Tapas Tastings – a weekly happy hour that combines sunset sakes and tasty tapas at a steal, happening every Monday from 6.00pm to 8.00pm.

BAM! is Singapore’s first gastro establishment to pay tribute to ‘Modern Shudo’ – a contemporary way of sake appreciation through food.

Having amassed an impressive selection of over 80 outstanding sakes from 15 breweries around the world, matched with Executive Chef Pepe Moncayo’s rich Catalonian heritage, BAM! is now giving the modern shudo movement a happy hour head start with its new Sake-Tapas Tasting sessions.

Available every Monday from 6.00pm to 8.00pm, sake lovers and happy hour hunters can now enjoy a tasting menu of five unique sakes, paired with five mouthwatering morsels, at SGD48++ per person.

Savour a stellar selection of sakes hailing from the Yamagata, Ishikawa and Gifu prefectures, and let the umami flavours of Chef Pepe’s culinary creations unfold with each sip.

Floral and lively, the award-winning Gazanryu Honjozo Koka primes the palate— with sprightly swirls of mild melon, berries, apple and juicy pear—for a silken Ankimo Tofu, honey all-I-oli and shirashu. Exuding clean, delicious, riped plum-like notes, the Chikuha Noto Junmai, paired with crunchy Padrón peppers, ponzu and bonito flakes, segues into a sweet-savoury bliss that lingers on the tongue. In its final days, the summer-aged Michisakari Yuujou Junmai Daiginjou culminates in a mild umami and crisp aftertaste, perfect for reveling in the richness of the Kampong egg, camarones and romanesco.

For those who wish to experience modern shudo in its full gastro-glory, stay for dinner and indulge in BAM!’s highly-affordable Omakase menu – eight exquisite courses entrusted entirely in the capable hands of Chef Pepe and his team; each dish carefully constructed and paired with a hand-picked sake, intended to excite, surprise and pleasure across the senses. The Omakase menu is available at SGD148++ per person, with an additional SGD90++ for sake pairing.
