From 3 October 2014 to 8 February 2015, Singapore Art Museum will host Still Moving: A Triple Bill on the Image. Still Moving explores the idea of image-making through three exhibitions: Afterimage: Contemporary Photography from Southeast Asia, Time Present: Photography, and Image & Illusion: Video Works. This focus on photography, amongst other image-making elements, have resulted in a line-up of camera-focused public programmes. We picked out some you can explore over the next few months.
IN CONJUNCTION: House of Photography Courses
From October to December 2014, 11am to 6pm, at HOP at 8Q Plaza, SAM at 8Q
House of Photography (HOP) is a camera obscura taking place in a dark room (converted from a shipping container). Here, images from its surroundings are projected inside through a well-positioned light source. This photo outreach programmes is an opportunity to share with the community the fundamental basis of photography, and how an image can be created with minimum equipment.
HOP will also include various workshops, including Introduction to Cyanotype, Introduction to Darkroom Printing, and Polaroid Emulsion Lift. These classes will offer a refreshing take on photography, whether you’re an amateur or a serious photography hobbyist.
How to Fix and Care for Your Cameras and Lenses

Destination: Kenya – An African Photo Safari on the Great Wildebeest Migration
