The Super 0 collective returns with a fresh new series – Super 0 Open air, an all-day multi-conceptual boutique festival set to please music enthusiasts and those wanting to pick up a crafty skill or two. The festival will kick off on 17 January 2015, from 2pm till late, and is held in conjunction with Singapore Art Week 2015. Keeping to its pop-up sensibilities and ‘warehouse’ series, the event will take place in an unassuming location with the takeover of yet another unused, queer space (24 Turn house Road, S 507761).
Exhibited in a quirky setting, unlike the usual run-of-the-mill festivals, Super O hopes to experiment with the way art can be uniquely showcased and appreciated. In this third instalment, Super 0 Openair puts an emphasis on arts, design, culture and lifestyle featuring a line-up of homegrown and international acts coupled with workshops and showcases.
Inspired by renowned art and music festivals such as Coachella (US), Secret Garden (UK), Dimensions (Croatia) and Melt! (Germany), Super 0 Openair aims to be fresh, conceptual and contemporary. Likewise, the music line-up reflects international appeal with forward-thinking acts such as The Field ‘live’ (SWE), Tokimonsta (US), Ben Pearce (UK), Steffi & Virginia (GER), My Nu Leng (UK), Tim Sweeney (US), Trus’me (UK), Scharre (TYO), Zig Zach (SG), Mr. Has (SG) Cats on Crack (SG), Zul (Subvert HQ, SG), Haan (SG).
Festival goers can also expect to be entertained and inspired from a carefully curated list of workshops. From urban farming and mixologist sessions to DJing and DIY upcycling ideas, the range of creative offerings promises to entertain. With each one intended to challenge and inspire, Super O Openair hopes to introduce a wide and wondrous spectrum of good beats, art and cultural activities.
Other activities include David Ledoux photography exhibition, Super 0 x Tokyobike ‘Art of Cycle’, Interactive theatre vignettes by Pangdemonium! Theatre Company and Skinned Knee Productions, and a Mash Up x DIY workshop.
