Ever wondered if the Force had a consciousness? As an embodiment of all living energies, does it feel like we do, wonder like we do, or possess intelligence beyond our understanding? As a tribute to Star Wars Day on 4 May, we humbly present to you, fans and skeptics alike, a summary of the Star Wars franchise from the voice of the Force as we imagine it to be. Enjoy!

The Power of Cosmos, the Way, the Living Force, Unifying Force, Cosmic Force, and the Physical Force; I am known by many names, and by many metaphysical attributes. I am both light and dark; I discriminate against none who hold the ability to wield my strength as their own. I am simply known as, The Force.
This galaxy intrigues me. From the rule of the Celestials to the Rakatan Infinite Empire, and from the Jedi Order to our present day; it seems this entire galaxy is so focused on power, they forgot the fundamentals of peace. The biggest irony that amuses me – I have to admit the contorted faces helped ease my boredom tremendously in passing time – would perhaps be the multitudes of conflicts and wars in the name of “peace”.
As my memory spans, all wars started to blur into one another; Devaronians, Gossams, Selonians, Humans, and Duros all look the same under a simple mask of hatred. Nevertheless, I’d say they did good in their galactic explorations before beginning yet another battle in my honour.
But I digress. What really caught my attention in this age is how clearly my “followers” drew the line between dark and light, calling themselves Sith and Jedi. Both dark and light are equally important to my being, I must say, and I don’t see the need to split myself in two. The idea of having my left appendage fight my right one seems so… trivial… Don’t you think?
As my followers studied more about me over time, the Jedi focused on logic and technicalities, while the Sith focused on passions and allowed themselves free reign. But there will always be a balance; passions are not always entirely a bane, especially in my boy, Anakin.
While the galaxy takes a short breath between battles, Luke and Leia were born; I supposed you could call them my grandchildren, as the humans would. As Luke follows in his father’s footsteps and trains to be a Jedi, the Sith started building a comical looking contraption built to destroy rocks in an attempt to… I don’t know… Intimidate perhaps?
As more of the “light” sacrificed themselves to my being, the galaxy remains unbalanced – a word I am displeased with. If only those Jedi had turned to Sith before they perished… Perhaps then I would see balance again. Either that, or a Sith had to become a Jedi. Although my wish came true when Anakin and Luke reunited, the most frustrating thing had to happen! Anakin, my boy, returned to my embrace as a being of light! Leaving the galaxy still unbalanced!
Fortunately, as it stands, the scavenger Rey may yet hold hope as she is able to sense my being through my son’s saber. As she finds my grandson and makes things right again, I shall have to contend with holding my son’s essence to me… Oh look, a newcomer! Hans, come where I can sense you; you won’t be lonely anymore.

“The Force is a river from which many can drink,
and the training of the Jedi is not the only cup which can catch it.”
― Luke Skywalker
This tribute is meant only for fun, and in celebration of a day previously only celebrated by avid fans. However, as the franchise grows ever larger and draws a bigger crowd each year, we decided to amuse ourselves in speculating what the Force may think of the Jedi’s actions and their battle with the Sith.
As April leaves us hanging and May brings the Summer in,
Happy Star Wars Day Month, everyone!
