Lighting up the night sky at Alkaff Mansion, GREY GOOSE®, the World’s Best Tasting Vodka, brought back The Grey Goose Guild to celebrate passion and craftsmanship with luxury, glamour and high fashion. Featuring a Bespoke theme this year, the prestigious fashion event celebrated the traditional art of tailor-making and jewellery designing in fashion, and the high degree of customization and attention-to-detail it involves.
The spotlight was shone on three of the most exciting and up-and-coming names in the local fashion industry. They were award-winning silversmith/founder Carolyn Kan of Carrie K. Artisan Jewellery (a Singapore-based brand of artisan-crafted jewellery), designer/founder Priscilla Shunmugam of Ong Shunmugam (a local label known for its inspired take on the cheongsam and one of only two local labels to show at Paris Fashion Week this year) and designer/founder Zin Cattell of MENSWEAR MENSWEAR (an international online fashion house).
They presented pieces inspired by Grey Goose vodka as well as their latest collections in a much anticipated runway show.
Honouring the cornerstones of bespoke fashion, guests had their suit and dress measurements taken by Zin Cattell and Priscilla Shunmugam, as well as ring sizes measured by Carolyn Kan and her silversmiths. The event also featured a bespoke bar where guests mingled over Grey Goose concoctions created by Dario Nocentini and Adrian Batlle from contemporary Spanish restaurant, Catalunya.
Inaugurated as a fashion event in 2011, The Grey Goose Guild is created to recognize established artisans, as well as to nurture young talents who are lovers and leaders of life. The event is set to become an annual event in the local lifestyle calendar. It endeavours to establish a community of inspiring and influential icons within the fashion industry in Singapore, and eventually other parts of Asia.
