Have you heard? Polaroid isn’t dead! Neither is it left on the shelves to rot. Contrary to digital advocates, the instant film is still very much alive and kicking. Impossible? Come and see for yourselves.
From 10 October to 19 November, the passionate peeps at Thirtysix have organized a series of interesting events to share and prove the amazing possibilities of the old-school Polaroid Spectra Cameras with the new Impossible films.
For six consecutive Mondays, join in the fun and be inspired through exhibitions by artists who will be showcasing their experiments, discoveries, imperfections and surprises with the Polaroid Spectra Cameras and Impossible films at Thirtysix.
The first showcase was done by Lawrence Chiam on 10 October. He shared anoteworthy lesson on designing your own filter for the Impossible film. We say we’re all for getting your hands dirty and letting your creativity soar!
To ensure no one is left behind, Thirtysix has generously presented guides on the various creative techniques to manipulate and preserve the Impossible images on its blog andyoutube channel.
As part of this series of events, specially customised Polaroid Spectra Cameras are also being exhibited at Thirtysix, The Little Dröm Store, Cat Socrates, Muin.sg and Fuzzyeyeballs.com to exhibit the endless fun and creativity this art entails.
On top of that, Thirtysix has made it very easy for enthusiasts and those who have been mesmerized to join in the fun with a superb sale on refurbished Spectra Cameras, the Impossible PZ 600 Silver Shade, the PZ 680 Colour Shade and the Polaroid Softtone films.
