Experience and explore the mechanics of analogue photography from the inside out with Lomography’s latest creation – the Konstruktor. Claiming to be the world’s first 35mm do-it-yourself camera, the Konstruktor allows you to build your very own compact SLR camera from scratch. It can be easily assembled in one to two hours and no paint or glue is required for construction.
To top off the fun, the Konstruktor camera is packed with a host of ingenious analogue features such as a top-down viewfinder, an easy multiple exposure function, a ‘bulb’ setting for long exposures and a detachable 50mm f/10 lens. There is also an extra set of colourful covers and stickers included to style up the camera. Further customisation of the Konstruktor will be possible in the future as more interchangeable Lomography lenses and accessories are in the pipeline.

On 14 July 2013, Lomography will be conducting a Konstruktor Day at the Gallery Store in Singapore to commemorate the launch of the camera. The event will consists of two parts – ‘Build Your Konstruktor’ Workshop (SGD80) from 1pm to 3pm and SLR Photography Sharing Session & Photowalk (free) from 3pm to 5pm. Inclusive of a camera and a roll of film for every participant, the workshop is designed to help attendees learn, understand and experience the essence of photography through a step-by-step guided assembly. During the second session, Samantha from FEElim Photography and Esther from awesomesther.com will share about shooting with a SLR camera.
Additionally, there will be a photo exhibition in store from the 14 to 28 July to showcase pictures created with this artistic do-it-yourself camera.
