The Local People night markets were a hit last year, and they will continue to please market-goers, craft enthusiasts, and music lovers once more with their first ever day market. Heading back to Singapore Art Museum at Queen Street, The Local People Day Market will close the festivities for Singapore Art Week 2015 on 25 January 2015, 10am to 7pm.
The open air courtyard will be filled with food and retail vendors, amongst them The Sng Bao Society, CocoEasy, and Momolato. New acoustic acts such as Salmon Gin and Milliner’s Speech will start performing from 11am onwards, and guests are encouraged to BYOM (bring your own mat). A vintage photo booth by All Aflutter will give the ever photo-ready reason to preen and pose to their hearts’ content.
Chia Aik Beng, a local street photographer best known for his series of Little India called Tonight The Streets Are Ours, will also be there to sell his prints and photobook. Yusuf Abdol Hamid and Foo Chee Chang from Vamos Photography joins in the fun by selling off their personal works.
