Picture this – instant photography, combined with the charms of film, and topped with all the creative options that’ll make an ordinary picture look magical. Doesn’t that sound like everything you’ll ever need?! It’s the dream… and we can finally have it.
Introducing the Lomo’Instant, the up and coming camera that uses Fujifilm Instax Mini Film (which by the way, is the most widely available instant film), has an in-built wide angle lens, fisheye, and portrait lens, and… colour gels. Yes, that means you’ll be able to transform your photos with colour filters in a second!
Packed with three shooting modes – auto flash, with flash, and without flash – the Lomo’Instant also has unlimited multiple exposures that’ll allow you to combine multiple shots on one frame. If you’re more of a light streak creative, good news – the camera also has infinite long exposures (hold the shutter for as long as you want!) perfect for low light shootings.
The Lomo’Instant also features the largest aperture setting currently available in the instant photography well. An f/8 will get you brighter shots, and an f/22 gets every detail in focus. Completing the package is the tripod and cable release mount. This video explains the Lomo’Instant perfectly:
Sounds great right? This hybrid of immediacy and analogue photographer is exciting, creative, and… soon to be available, with your help. Make the production of this all-rounded camera possible by pledging some moolah at Kickstarter!
You’ll get some things in exchange of course, whether it is the Lomo’Instant at a low price/pledge of $79 or the Sanremo edition at $109. Or, if you’d like to speed things up and pledge $1300 or more, you’ll get a 5-night trip to Vienna with the complete Lomography experience for 2 days plus a list of other things! They have a whole range of pledges, check it out here.
The mechanical design was finalised in February, and in July, they will be testing out the final product. With the Kickstarter fund, expect more productions! The Lomo’Instant is expected to be ready in November 2014. Find out about their Kickstarter fund, and more about the camera here.he-lomoinstant-camera”>here.
