No matter what brings you down, there will always be a rainbow after the rain. This is what The Misery aims to remind everyone. The Misery is a toy character created by artist Alan Leong – the founder of CREAMOUS, whose philosophy is all about seeking, injecting and infusing personality and character to everyday objects.
Inspired by his gloomy experiences and sheer optimism, Alan crafted The Misery in a bid to spread the cheer and convert unhappy thoughts into pure joy. All decked up in an uber cute matching watch, a little bag and a cap, The Misery travels around sending its message that life is meant to be enjoyed and everyday is a blessing.
The initial version of the toy was lovingly handmade from resin and stands at only 3.2 inches in height. Due to the materials used, it was too fragile to be carried around and shipped.
As it was very well received by the creative community, Alan has decided to not only strengthen The Misery by creating it using vinyl, he is also adding an extra six inch height and a whole range of awesome new accessories to the character.
With the help of CRAZY LABEL (a renowned company that produces vinyl toys), the artist has embarked on a quest to produce The Misery in a larger quantity to spread the joy.
