Your complimentary pass to a weekend of music and creative high at Urbanscapes in KL may just be a monster away. From now till 3 November 2013, Kult3D is running the Monsters Ink Competition, which is a lead-up to Kult’s Real Horror Show at Urbanscapes. This horror show will include a series of installations of monsters and ghouls created by some of South East Asia’s most happening and gruesome illustrators, a video montage of B grade horror movies and a variety of hands-on activities such as monster face-painting, t-shirt silk screening and a doodling workshop.
The Monsters Ink Competition will feature different monster installations at five popular cafés – Artistry, Chye Seng Huat Hardware, Lowercase, PACT, and The Plain. Simply take photos of yourselves next to a monster, and post them on Instagram with the hashtag #urbanscapeskult. The winner will be chosen with a prize draw to win a pair of all-weekend passes to Urbanscapes. That means, you will have a higher chance of winning if you take photos with all five monsters.
If you wish to exhibit your creative flair, you can take it a step further and draw your very own monster. Acquire a competition form at the cafés and drop it off where the monsters stand or submit your design via email to [email protected]. The winning monster will also be displayed as one of the installation pieces at Kult’s Real Horror Show and the winning artist will win an unforgettable festival experience at KL, which includes a pair of air tickets, accommodation, and of course a pair of all-weekend passes to Urbanscapes.
Winners will be contacted on 8 November 2013 (Friday) and will be announced on Facebook.com/kult3D.
