Call the Midwife Series 7 Christmas Special
The midwives of Nonnatus House spent last Christmas in the warmth of South Africa, but this year they are back in Poplar celebrating a white Christmas. Starring the cast of Call the Midwife Series 7, this 80-minute special arrives in Singapore on Boxing Day, express from the UK.
It’s 1963 and Poplar is covered by a thick blanket of snow as the nuns and nurses of Nonnatus House face the challenge of the coldest winter for three hundred years. Battling against snow, ice, power cuts and frozen pipes, the midwives brave the elements to provide the best possible care for their patients.
Victoria Christmas Special 2017: Comfort and Joy
Victoria’s Christmas special is coming to you express from the UK! This Christmas, as Victoria and her family enjoy a lovely white Christmas, and Prince Albert gets a bit carried away in the spirit of the holidays. Starring Jenna Coleman and Tom Hughes, the two-hour special will celebrate all of the festivities of a Victorian Christmas at Buckingham Palace.
Set in Christmas 1846, the episode sees Victoria uncharacteristically melancholy as she prepares to tackle her first Christmas without her beloved Baroness Lehzen. Pregnant with her and Albert’s fourth child, the festive period reminds her of her lonely childhood spent at Kensington. Albert, on the other hand, is gripped by an obsession with staging the perfect family Christmas, transforming the palace into a magical festive wonderland. Tensions arise between him and Victoria, however, when Albert invites some unwelcome house guests to join the celebrations.
