Emerging Singaporean label Weekend Sundries is made for the thoughtful, modern woman who appreciates the sensory process of discovery, delights in the possibility of adventure and exudes a quiet confidence. With a penchant for timeless silhouettes and witty detailing, the clothes are a reinterpretation of classic aesthetics that blend everyday modern sensibility with an understated edge.
The brainchild of Weekend Sundries, Michelle Chan, creates introspective collections that pay careful attention to construction and functionality. Inspired by perennial humid summers and everything else that comes along with them, Michelle takes pride in sourcing quality fabrics and creating signature textile prints, specially crafted for each season.
The Spring/Summer 2013 collection, Play Flight, expresses laid-back femininity and effortless style, keeping in line with the label’s overarching clean and timeless aesthetics. It emphasises a strong neutral palette of quality Japanese cottons and silks, with signature prints that include hand-illustrations of leaves and swallows digitally printed on to the fabric.
Retailing between SGD79 to SGD269, the collection will take flight this weekend (18-19 May, 11am-8pm) at Blueprint Emporium 2013.
Weekend Sundries is stocked at Eclecticism (Paragon #03-08, Singapore 238859) and Threadbare & Squirrel (660 North Bridge Road (Bali Lane), Singapore 188797).
