Aren’t you tired of killing zombies, soldiers and well, other players? If you are, kill familiar ghosts and ghouls instead! Inspired by South East Asian folklore, you will find Pontianaks, rakshasa and many more in the game Ghostlore.
Available as a demo, the game currently has only one mission – to defeat the moguis (cantonese word for evil spirit) in the form of the giant parasitic flower Rafflesia. Once you enter the game, meet the lead ghosthunter who will give you your quest.
Ghostlore is the brainchild of Singaporean game developer, Andrew Teo. Tired of European fantasy games filled with dungeons, castles and dragons, Teo brought his new game a little closer to home. From a statue of the Merlion in the middle of the plaza to using durians to fend off enemies, it is as local as it gets!
One that tickled our funny bone is the Pontianaks flying around. To kill them? Kill the Pontianak tree which are banana trees! Try the demo here.
